Soraya Mouritzen - Mobil hjemme frisør i Århus

About me

My name is Soraya Mouritzen and I am a professional French hairdresser with more that 20 years of experience! I have been trained in France, where I have learned several skills and techniques applied to both mens’ and women haircuts and coloring, such as balayage, highlights and toning.

I have also attended several technical courses at the "Formula Training Center" in Paris, with a specific focus on L'Oreal and Kerastase products.

In 2012 I moved to Dakar, the sunny capital of Senegal and I started my own salon which I have run happily for more than 6 years.

In October 2020, together with my family, I decided to leave Senegal because of the economic and health situation. My husband Jasper being Danish, our choice fell on his country of birth and heart! We have lived in Aarhus first, then in Stenbjerg, in North of Jutland, where we are currently based.

French native, I speak English fluently while I am learning Danish, which I hope to be able to practice very soon!

My hair salon will be located in the lovely Vorupør, 4 km from Stenbjerg.

Vorupø is a small fishing and surfing village located in the center of Thy National Park in North Jutland, a protected area known mainly for its long beaches and unspoiled nature.
During the summer, Vorupør is very lively. Vacation town, nature, sea, pier and boats on the beach have a great attraction on tourists. Surfing and winsurfing are also very present in the area. On summer evenings, locals and tourists like enjoy tasting ice creams while watching the breaking waves.

1st of March 2022: I am opening Mia Secrets hair salon in Vorupør!

Where does the name “Mia Secrets” come from!

In 2014, I have launched an e shop (www.miasecrets.com) of organic products naturally processed from west African plants and trees. Among them, the incredible Baobab tree oil, naturally extracted from the seeds of the ancient Baobab, renowned for its several beneficial anti oxidants properties. I have since then developed a specific hair treatment with baobab oil and powder, which my clients have loved! The hair treatment is 100% natural, and gives the hair a strength that I have never seen in other commercial products.

Balayage
Balayage is one of the many coloring techniques I have learned during my studies and practical training in France: the word derives from french and means sweeping; highlights are in fact hand-painted or “swept” on the surface of random sections of hair, so that the result is a natural sun-kissed glow that is not as strictly patterned as normal highlights.
One of the benefits of coloring your hair with the balayage technique is the naturalness that enters the hair. Your hair will therefore look beautiful and natural over a longer period of time. Balayage hair coloring is very individual from person to person, as all hair is different. That is why I always use the best professional products to be able to achieve the perfect result.
